Challenge

Design a set of 52 French playing cards, including its packaging. Come up with a creative and unique concept with a key visual and a colour palette.

Explore

I noticed that objects can reveal new meanings and forms if you take a moment to really observe them.

Create

I wanted to create a deck that is not only visually appealing but also has a strong concept and meaning behind it. I've always wanted to try a typography-centric theme, and so i used this brief to accomplish the challenge.

My Reflections

The main concept of Objectified was observation and typography, hence this helped me to observe more thinfs around me and take notice of ideas that are usually ignored by the eye. Blending typography and objects was a huge challenge for me as both shapes or elements dont mix well if they are not paired well together. Although I struggled a lot with the correct match, this project was very fun and the end results made all the struggles worth it.
