Challenge

We had to think of a historical concept that has not been written yet. It needs to be original. We have to create everything from scarth from its concept, to its design, its book size, printing, etc

Explore

We explored various historical incidents and ended up picking up the one guy, who is one of the top people who have impacted our history. We then explored the cover designs, the book design, etc

Create

Since the topic in itself is serious, we decided to keep the tone of the book very light hearted and fun.

My Reflections

As a previous literature student and a current designer, this project was a combination of both my passions. However, this was not just about designing a book. I had to build everything from scratch, from its concept to its tone of voice, to its visual identity, etc. Besides designing the book, printing it and bringing it to life was also a challenge. It made me inderstand a lot about the priniting process and made me realisde that making a book is not just about its cover but its so much more.
